Kayshon Boutte reveals promising injury update for Patriots’ Week 10 game

One of the more fascinating parts of the Patriots’ 2025 season so far has been their impressive receiving corps stepping up plate and becoming part of the most exciting groups on the roster to watch on game day.

Among the most notable has been Kayshon Boutte, the third-year receiver who saw a resurgence during an otherwise forgettable 2024 season.

Along with Stefon Diggs, he has become a WR1 for Drake Maye to work with and is well on his way to recording the best season of his career, which is slated to be around 900+ yards after last week’s game.

A bit of that took a hit against the Falcons, however, as he injured his hamstring during the game and had to leave the field early. He was quickly downgraded to out, prompting many fans to fear the absolute worst.

Although Mike Vrabel wasn’t able to provide much of an update on Boutte’s status beyond likely missing practice to start the week, the receiver posted his own update on his Discord server on Monday afternoon.

Kayshon Boutte puts concerns to rest about his hamstring injury from Week 9

Because Christian Gonzalez had injured his hamstring during the summer, forcing him to miss the first few games of the season, Patriots fans worried the same fate awaited Boutte after leaving Sunday’s game.

Fortunately, according to the man himself, an MRI revealed he suffered a grade 1 sprain, which could force him to miss next week’s game against the Bucs, although he will try to suit up if possible.

If it isn’t, he hopes to be back for the Patriots’ first game against the Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 11.

It’s the kind of update fans were hoping for, since Boutte has become a massive part of the offense’s success this year and far too reliable to be sidelined for too long.

Given that hamstring injuries can be tricky, as even Gonzalez seemed to have suffered a setback during his rehab process, it wouldn’t be surprising if the Patriots decide to keep Boutte off the field for at least one game.

Although that’s not great news, it’s better to keep him healthy in the long run than force his return too soon, so if he misses just one game, that’s better than missing the rest of the season.

It might be better to be too cautious than to rush him back, as that could create a worse loss for the team.
