It all began with a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, more specifically a 2022 model still in pristine condition. The client sought a classy scrambler inspired by the iconic desert sleds of yore, and the folks at LBC went above and beyond to make his vision come true.
They kept much of the INT650’s original spirit alive on both the cosmetic and mechanical side of things.
The factory suspension, brakes, and wheels have all been retained, as were items such as the OEM fuel tank and side covers.
Our protagonists started with a nice bit of structural work at the back, shortening the motorcycle’s subframe to achieve tighter proportions. We see a handmade aluminum fender attached to the subframe tubing, and it’s topped off with a circular LED taillight.
Small but bright LED turn signals are present further ahead, fitted on the framework right behind the upper shock mounts.
That area of the bike is finished off with a lovely custom saddle oozing desert sled charm, but one may also notice a new pair of foot pegs lower down.
They’re enveloped in rubber for that authentically vintage vibe, and the high-mounted exhaust on the right is yet another stand-out piece.
Manufactured from scratch using stainless-steel, it curves back seamlessly with two independent pipes and a drilled heat shield. Even though the Interceptor’s stock footwear is still in play, the rims are now shod in dual-purpose rubber for excellent grip on any surface.
We see yet another bespoke alloy fender at the front end, joined by a Bates-style headlight perched on the lower triple clamp.
The cockpit area is delightfully clean, featuring a tall and wide aftermarket handlebar kitted with stylish grips and discreet switches. LBC Motorcycles did away with the INT650’s gauges while relocating its ignition barrel below the gas tank on the left.
Other bits worth mentioning here are the new throttle body covers, whose design nods to that of old-school air filters.
And to take Yaguarete across the finish line at last, Juan and his teammates came up with a simple yet gorgeous color scheme.
Black is the predominant color used on the bodywork, frame, and other chassis components, along with white lettering on the tank and side covers.
By contrast, there is a nice bit of unpainted metal on items such as the engine and rims.
